Pricing + FAQ
Pricing
My pricing is simple. Session fee + Digital Imagery= Total investment
Session fee: The value of my time as a photographer, artist and consultant.
(30 minutes / $200 | 45 minutes / $225 | 1 hour / $250)
Digital Imagery: The value of your digital archive.
Digital purchasing starts at $50/image
Sample Investment: 1 hour photo session ($250) + 20 images ($600)= $850
Sample Portrait Investment: 30 min session ($200) + 3 images ($145)= $545
Total spending depends on the length of your session, as well as how many images you choose to purchase.
I ask for new clients to spend a full hour with me so we can allow time to find a rhythm and not feel rushed.
30-45 minute portrait sessions work fine for children posing in front of my white backdrop, or for clients that are using 1 location/1 outfit.
A pricing guide is available upon request. Payment plans are also available.
My style of family portraiture depends on a strong sense of connection and trust between myself and the families I work with.
I’d like for both parties to feel like we are a good fit for each other. This way, I’m providing the best possible experience for my clients.
Do we have the same vision? Are we both ok with letting the children run around in a field barefoot and getting spun around by Dad?
Are poses and checklists more important than capturing life in the moment?
Yes we need a few poses– and this does start out feeling a bit like a stage, but do we both agree to allow for spaciousness?
The best way to see if we are on the same page is with a quick 20 minute “get to know each other” chat on the phone.

Why?
You know in your heart the level of importance in investing into your family archives, or child’s portrait. As a Mom of three, who obviously takes too many photos on her iPhone and not enough on her “good camera”, I can tell you how quickly it all goes. And how my heart beats when I look at those dreamy photographs of my babies and toddlers. My heart aches too, but in a good way. It reminds me to stay present with them now. Those curls might turn straight. Those teeth will grow in. I myself invest in a professional photographer, because there is something about handing things over and asking for a little help ;)
When?
Of course I would say there is no better time than this very moment. If you feel the pull to book, at least get the process started. In all reality, there are certain vibes to certain seasons. As a busy Mom, I know how rare a gap in the calendar is, and how busy it seems to feel. Start with the season, then focus in on what time of day you all are at your best… and go from there. The fall has a beautiful array of yellows, oranges, golds and reds. A crispness in the air. with the anticipation of change around the corner. Winter is quiet and lovely, with more light streaming into your home (due to less foliage outside)… this is wonderful for in-home story-telling sessions and capturing the day to day. The Spring is my personal favorite. The greens are SO vibrant. The flowers are so full of life and the potential for hope.
Where?
I have a Location Guide if you need ideas. A park / the great outdoors is lovely, but I would love to also get a slice of your home life onto my memory card. As a visual story-teller, this completes the story to your Who, Why & When. We could start in your backyard, or with kids jumping on their beds–in their pjs. In general kids are more relaxed when we start at their home, on their turf. This allows your family to share some of their normal life & story with me. Afterwards, we can go on an adventure together and root ourselves in the great outdoors. This isn’t an all-day affair, I promise. Changing things up can keep everyone engaged and interested.
FAQ

Scheduling + Timing
Session availability depends on the type of session. I recommend booking as soon as you know your family's schedule so you can get the date & time that works best for you. I accept a limited number of family session dates per month, so I recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance. Family sessions are a minimum of 1 hour, unless I am running a Mini Session special (30 minutes). Portrait sessions are a minimum of 30 minutes. Newborn sessions are a minimum of 2 hours and can last up to 4 hours.

Travel
Sessions can take place at your home or at a location of your choice within the Saint Louis, MO Area. A location guide is available upon request if you are having trouble deciding on a location for your session. Locations further than 30 miles from my office in 63143 will be charged a minimum $100 travel fee.
-
Lighting + Attire
I rely on natural lighting for all sessions. If we are uncertain about the available light in your home, I can pop by for a quick visit to make the call. If necessary, I can bring small portable lights to provide your family with beautiful and natural light. I also provide a session guide that can steer you in the right direction with any concerns about what to wear.
-
Rescheduling
There is no penalty to reschedule due to bad weather &/or illness. We reschedule to the next session date & time available for us both. I understand that things come up unexpectedly but when possible; I appreciate clients providing me at least 48 hours notice on rescheduling requests.

Collections: Put it in print
Once your session is complete, I will hit the ground running on editing your beautiful images. Anything blurry or blinky will be left out. The best of the images will be edited, and put in a proofing gallery for you to view. You will have a few days to laugh/cry/swoon over the images and make your selects. Once you decide how many images you can't live without, you can pick and purchase a Collection–which has various print/digital options ranging from $200-$600.
